Khairulzaman Othman, 40, died at Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim (HSAH), Sungai Petani at 3.14am on September 4, 2021. He died just under two weeks before his sister, Noorhafizah, 37, who died at a private clinic at 1.20pm on September 16. Noorhafizah had sought treatment at the private clinic due to a prolonged cough. Two weeks later, on Oct 4, 2.30am, their father, Othman Bakar, 71, died at HSAH. Their mother was also infected, but survived the virus. They all lived together at Taman Delima, Sungai Petani. The brother and sister who died were two of six siblings. They were all buried at the Sungai Batu, Merbok, Muslim cemetery.
