Othman Bakar, 71, died at Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim (HSAH), Sungai Petani on Oct 4, 2021, 3.14am. He died a month after his son, Khairulzaman, 40, who died at the same hospital on Sept 4, and two weeks after his daughter Noorhafizah, 37, who died at a private clinic on Sept 16. His wife was also infected, but survived the virus. They all lived together at Taman Delima, Sungai Petani. They were all buried at the Sungai Batu, Merbok, Muslim cemetery. Othman Bakar is also survived by four other children. His son, Nor Husaini, 32, told Harian Metro that he was very close to his father, and the loss of his father and siblings within a short period to Covid-19 was heart wrenching.
