Cheng Pei See, 42, died at Hospital Kuala Lumpur on Aug 9, 2021. Her sister, Sunni Cheng wrote: My late sister Cheng Pei See was the person who always reminded us to strictly follow standard operating procedures against Covid-19. But unforeseen to all, she herself caught Covid-19 on July 13, 2021, and sought treatment herself at Hospital Kuala Lumpur on July 21. Her condition escalated from Stage 4 to 5 and at 3.57am on July 29, she was placed in intensive care. HKL tried their best to treat her, but had to give up on Aug 9, 2021. It is challenging for us to walk through the painful journey yet we remember her through her smiles, her favourite foods and our memories of family gatherings with her.
