About Nilwan Kabang

Nilwan Kabang, 71, died at Hospital Gleneagles, Kota Kinabalu at 3.45pm on Sept 19, 2021. He was two-term Kunak assemblyperson, serving from 2008 to 2018. He was defeated by Warisan's Norazlinah Arif in the 2018 general election, and sat out the 2020 state election. He was also Sabah Umno deputy information chief. He had a long career in politics and was also assistant state minister for rural development, in Musa Aman's state cabinet, after winning the polls in 2013. He was laid to rest at Tanah Perkuburan Islam Kampung Ulu, Putatan.
