Safri Muhamad, 50, died at Hospital Sultan Ismail on September 14, 2021, at 7:15 am after being intubated for 36 hours due to his deteriorating health. He worked as Sales Assistant at a mall, has history of asthma, and only managed to receive the first dose of vaccine. He left behind his wife, Munirah Mamat, with whom he had been married to for 47 days. According to his wife, they only managed to enjoy their married life for five days before her husband had to return to Johor due to work. He is remembered as a responsible and loving husband.
