Chan Kee Xin, 77, died at 8 am on September 16, 2021 at Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail. He received the first dose of vaccine on August 26, and his second dose appointment fell on September 16. However, it unexpectedly became his death day. He was quarantined at home after he was diagnosed with Covid-19 on September 2 and was admitted to the hospital for treatment on September 6. However, his condition did not improve and he eventually passed away. He had a history of diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and other medical history. He was a rubber dealer in Yong Peng and proprietor of SKT Getah Hup Seng. His other five family members were also diagnosed with Covid-19, but all have recovered.
