Noorhafizah Othman, 37, died at a private clinic at 1.20pm on September 16, 2021. Noorhafizah had sought treatment at the private clinic due to a prolonged cough. She was unmarried and was a full time carer for her elderly parents. She lived with her brother Khairulzaman and her parents at Taman Delima, Sungai Petani. Two weeks before she died, Khairulzaman, 40, died of Covid-19 at Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim (HSAH), Sungai Petani at 3.14am on September 4, 2021. Their father, Othman Bakar, 71, died at HSAH on Oct 4 at 2.30am. Their mother was also infected, but survived the virus. The brother and sister were two of six siblings. They were all buried at the Sungai Batu, Merbok, Muslim cemetery.
