About Ahmad Kamil Mohamed Tahir
Ahmad Kamil Mohamed Tahir, 60, died at 2.30pm on July 18, 2021 at Hospital Putrajaya. He was first hospitalised on July 6 and transferred to the intensive care unit on July 8. He is survived by his daughter, Normacella Shanaz and two sons, Ahmad Sadeqh and Ahmad Redha Aidid, as well as his grandchildren. He was the deputy chief editor for the Bahasa Malaysia desk of the national news wire, Bernama, after spending his career there since Aug 1, 1982. He was also press secretary to the Rural Development Minister from 2003 to 2005.
