About Saharuddin Sulaiman

Saharuddin Sulaiman died on July 20, 2021. The Johor native was a husband and a father. He is remembered as a kind, gentle, soft-spoken and generous family man. His niece, Wan Nadia, who lives in Singapore, wrote: "Although we live in different countries, I bear witness Uncle Saharuddin Sulaiman was a good person, a caring, loving, gentle, soft-spoken uncle. "He loved my mum, his sister, a lot. When we go to Rotiboy Cafe at Subang Parade, he would hold my mom's hand and catch up with life. "I remember when I went for my convocation in the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2011, we met him and his family for dinner. He treated us to dinner at Pizza Hut to celebrate my convocation. "When my mom told him I graduated with first-class honours, he shook my hand, congratulated me and hugged me tightly. "He even told his daughter, Athira, to study hard and succeed in learning with flying colours. "It was truly heartbreaking watching the burial process from a cousin's FB live. You see people all in suits (personal protective equipment) carrying him into the grave. "Please take care of yourselves and spare a minute or two to send Al-Fatihah to my uncle, Hj. Saharuddin Sulaiman. You will be terribly missed, lots of love and hugs."

We will always remember you
