About Ghazi Ishak
Dato’ Ghazi Ishak, 78, died on Aug 13, 2021. Dato' Ghazi was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1977, and was among the top 2 percent of the most senior members of the Malaysian Bar for the past several years. Prior to becoming a Member of the Bar, he served as Magistrate in Kuala Lumpur and Acting President of the Sessions Court in Melaka and Kuala Kubu Bharu. He founded Messrs Ghazi & Lim in 1992. Those who knew him personally would describe Ghazi as someone who had a good sense of humour, humble and well respected. He is survived by three sons, the eldest is also a member of the Bar, Dato’ Mohammed Rhiza of Messrs Rhiza & Richard. His second son, Datuk Onn Hafiz is the current Johor State Executive Councillor for Tourism, Youth and Sports. His youngest son, Dr Onn Ridzwan is a medical practitioner.
